The Passing of Brian Keay

To All his friends and colleagues

It is with great regret that I have to announce the death of Brian Keay, aged 58.

Brian suffered a stroke on Sunday and did not recover.  He leaves behind his wife Diane and four children.

It was in April that Brian first had treatment following a mild heart attack whilst on holiday. His treatment continued during the year and he was in hospital awaiting a heart bypass when he had another, this time fatal attack.

Brian joined Montrose Fasteners three and a half years ago, having spent a life time in the industry.  After leaving University in Wales where he had met Diane, he went on to work for Jaton, Barlows, and Serco Ryan before joining Montrose in 2003.

For most of those years Brian held senior roles within the Purchasing field.  His product and industry knowledge was one of his many assets as well as numerous supplier relationships where his diligence and integrity always shone through.

We will miss him, and give our heart felt sympathies to his family.

Managing Director.
